Exploring MoPop

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy walking around the top of my hill, but this morning I woke up longing for a different scene and subject, so I decided to explore the Seattle Center and South Lake Union. While at the Center, I became intrigued with MoPop (the Museum of Pop Culture) with all of its many facets. I walked around the building to see what I could capture.

The typewriter eraser with MoPop in the background makes for a fun shot. I love all of the curves. I have to admit when they first built this museum I thought it was so ugly, but with time I grew to appreciate it and love all of its many sides.

There is silver and color that mix together to create the shape of a guitar when viewed above. Even the doors in the side of the building look good.

Walking around to the east side of the building you can see the amazing colors, especially when the sun is out.

And if you continue around to where the Monorail cuts through the building, sometimes you get some interesting shots, like this one.

When the Monorail is not traveling through MoPop, there are still interesting photos to capture.

The west side of the building is awash in color. It is one of my most favorite sides.

As you walk a bit north of this spot you can capture reflections of the Space Needle on the side of the building.

I had such fun this morning capturing these images. I love the color, the curves, and the reflections. I then made my way to South Lake Union to take photos of the boats, so I had a great Camera Walking experience. I love to hear from you, so comment below, post on Camera Walking's Facebook page, or send me an email.
