In Between Storms

In just a week our weather went from warm and sunny to cold and rainy! It was a good reminder to get out for a walk when the weather is cooperating. We had a break on Saturday, so a friend and I explored Lincoln Park, a great place to walk in West Seattle. The park hugs the shores of Puget Sound and has paths that take you through wooded areas and along the water - a terrific combination.

As we walked through the woods, we saw the Fauntleroy Ferry dock that transports people across the sound to Vashon Island.

Although you can continue to walk through the wooded areas, we followed a path that led to the beach.

I took my Lensbaby Velvet 85 with me to see what i could capture. I use it mostly for close-up shots, so it was an interesting experiment to take landscape shots.

The park's beach trail ends next to residences. We walked along the back of the houses and I discovered this seaman before we turned around.

The view on our return was just as interesting. This is obviously a good place for walking dogs.

We ended up walking five miles and felt invigorated by the water, crisp air, and view.

I love to hear from you, so comment below, post on Camera Walking's Facebook page, or send me an email. Take advantage of the breaks in the weather to get out Camera Walking.
