Happy Halloween!

Every year I post a special Halloween blog to showcase how my neighbors are celebrating the holiday. It is a great time to walk and capture fun, scary, and unusual images.

The above image was taken with my iPhone 8+ and the one below with my Lensbaby Sweet 50 lens.

I love exploring my neighborhood for signs of the approaching holiday. You can always tell where the children (or the young of heart) live by the decorations.

Some of my neighbors have gotten very creative exhibiting large pieces like this friendly looking pumpkin greeting trick-or-treaters on the street. I took this with my Canon 6D and Lensbaby Sweet 50 lens.

I don't like spiders, so this house would keep me away!

I even came across a black cat on my walk.

And then there is the neighborhood witch that flies into the telephone pole every year! At least her cat was able to hang on.

This warning sign would work for me, although the owners of this house graciously let me take numerous photos of their sunflowers this year, so I think they are okay.

I came across this mummy this morning. Taken with my Lensbaby Twist 60 lens.

Finally, if you plan on taking photos while out in the evening, here is an article I found with some good tips. One last thing - if you want to see what some creative folks did to celebrate Halloween, take a look at this video. You won't be disappointed.

I love hearing from you, so please comment below, post on our Facebook page, or send me an email. Take advantage of this holiday by taking a walk around your neighborhood to see what gems you can find. Happy Halloween!
