Mobile Fun

My friends call me an early adopter, so they weren't surprised that I got a new iPhone this month. After researching the iPhone X and 8 plus, I decided to buy the 8 plus because of the camera. Days after I had ordered the phone, DXO reviewed the camera and said that it was the best that they have seen in a smart phone. In addition, CNET took the phone out for a test drive and found that it is getting closer to a DSLR. Yes!! Check out the video and see what they had to say.

I was eager to get out and test the camera myself, so over the last week I have been taking different shots to see what results I could get.

No surprise that the first image was a rose. I zoomed in and with just a little editing it was ready to go! Wow!

Although you can zoom, I still think it is best to take a full frame photo and then crop, as I did with the image below. You have more data to work with by cropping, not zooming.

Lola, our neighborhood dog, patiently waited as I took her photo with her pet bear.

I came across this old Dodge Charger and loved the color.

Even at the grocery store I found a fun subject to capture - it's a pumpkin by the way.

And of course, the iconic view of Seattle is worth capturing.

I look forward to playing with the portrait and exposure settings, but the 12 MP wide-angle and telephoto cameras are winners. I am sure that this phone will be an integral part of my photography gear. I love to hear from you, so comment below, post on our Facebook page, or send me an email.
