The Beauty of Winter

As you might have noticed, I enjoy taking photos of flowers on my walks. I look forward to the buds that emerge in the spring, and if we are lucky, bloom and stay around through early fall.

As I walk through my neighborhood, I can find many flowers to photograph, but my favorite place to go is a large P-Patch on the top of Queen Anne Hill in Seattle. There are so many luscious flower beds to wander through.

I sometimes find some a few surprises to capture, such as this apple someone left precariously sitting on a wire fence.

But now that it is winter you would think that there is little to see and enjoy at the P-Patch, but that isn't the case.

All throughout the pea patch there are hemp bags covering the ground. Many are quite colorful and make fun images.

And occasionally you can find a bit of art and humor.

Although I am counting the days until the flowers start to emerge, I am enjoying the beauty that is around us during winter. You never know what you will find!

As always, we love hearing from you, so comment below, post on our Facebook page, or send us an email. This is a great time to go Camera Walking, so grab your camera and explore the beauty of winter.
