Scenes of Fall
Fall is a wonderful season of color all over the United States. It is a time of beautiful colored leaf piles, dew on the spider webs, and heavily laden apple trees with leaves so bright and vibrant.
This is also a great time to try playing with editing tools to get great effects. Each photo in this blog was cropped and enhanced to add strength and character.
Shadows and richness of the light are very important at this time of year. The best light is in the morning and in the evening with the glowing soft light. Mid-day light is very flat and washes out the details in the photo. We found a good post about fall photography that you may find interesting.
Whenever we head out CameraWalking we try to find great places for both exercise and for good pictures. This past weekend we explored the Seattle lakefront in the Leschi neighborhood and the waterfront along Lake Washington Boulevard to Seward Park. I really recommend you check out this great walking area. There are miles of trails and paths, along the lake and in the parks.
There is so much activity throughout these areas with walkers, runners, dogs leashed to their owners, bikes, and beautiful scenery.
Treasures abound hidden by the roof of a house... all you have to do is look for the special shots!
Or sitting against a big rock in a small, peaceful park...
This is such a great way to spend a weekend afternoon, getting in some great walking, relaxing your mind, breathing in the fresh damp air...and taking amazing photos!
